SAN FRANCISCO – June 26, 2006 – ABM Janitorial Services, an operating unit of ABM Industries Incorporated (NYSE:ABM), has been awarded a multi-year, multi-million dollar contract renewal with Salt River Project (SRP), Arizona’s second largest utility provider. The contract covers comprehensive janitorial service and maintenance for more than 1 million square feet at multiple SRP facilities located throughout a 100-square mile radius in Phoenix and the surrounding metroplex.
“We are pleased to continue our relationship with Salt River Project to provide janitorial services for one of the nation’s principal providers of power and water utilities,” said Jim McClure, president of ABM Janitorial Services. “Our expertise and advanced technologies coupled with the highest possible quality of service will further enhance the Project's production efficiencies to better serve its customers,” he added.
Salt River Project comprises the Salt River Project Agricultural Improvement and Power District, a political subdivision of the state of Arizona and the Salt River Valley Water Users’ Association, a private corporation. SRP is based in Phoenix and is the nation’s third-largest public power utility and one of Arizona’s largest water suppliers, providing power to nearly 860,000 customers throughout a 2,900-square-mile service territory in central Arizona.
