ABM Resolves Labor Charges

SAN FRANCISCO – July 28, 2005 – ABM Industries Incorporated (NYSE:ABM) announced today that labor charges filed against its janitorial division by the Service Employees International Union ("SEIU") have been resolved. As a result of this, SEIU has withdrawn picket lines established in Houston and Indianapolis.

ABM and SEIU have not resolved their dispute over SEIU's organizing activities in Houston, nor have they resolved other issues of strategic importance.  Attorneys for both parties will continue to seek an acceptable resolution.
