SAN FRANCISCO – July 29, 2005 – ABM Janitorial Services, an operating unit of ABM Industries Incorporated (NYSE:ABM), has been awarded a multi-year, multi-million dollar contract renewal with Midwest Generation, a subsidiary of the Edison Mission Group and one of the nation's largest energy producers. The contract covers comprehensive janitorial service and maintenance for three power-generating facilities located in Illinois.

Midwest Generation is one the largest independent power producers in the United States, producing enough electricity to meet the needs of more than 8 million households. Headquartered in downtown Chicago, Midwest Generation is a subsidiary of the Edison Mission Group and part of the Edison International family of companies, which is based in Rosemead, California. Primarily in the business of generating electricity for sale in the competitive wholesale market, the company owns and operates six electric power-generating facilities in Illinois and also supervises operation of a plant in western Pennsylvania.
